Our Last Mission

Destiny and Ethan served as scientists in the International Space Station. Kyle was a Mission Specialists. Justin worked in Mission Control as INCO (Instrumentation and Communication Officer).

Here our our Mission Scientists.

During the Mission, they were onboard the ISS completing important scientific experiments.

Justin's mother has requested some pictures of me in the blog. Here we are before our ride on the 5DF chair.

The chair simulates weightlessness in space. It floats on the floor and rotates forward, backward, and side to side.

As always, Justin was the first volunteer. I have never seen more eager student.

Student Journals Day 6 (Thursday May 2, 2013)

. . . In mission Charlie, oh my gosh! It was almost perfect one. And I was pilot in that part. In the beginning was stressful but in the end, it's so peaceful. . . We also did Aviation Challenge. . . Tournament to earn the king of the hill which is best pilot. . . fter that . . . Patrol the land t night. We wore camouflage suit and covered ourself with ash. It was way awesome night. W succeeded the mission. . . To blow up the train. Even I got the opportunity to kill the guards. Our leaders was captured to distract the for us. That night is something that I will not forget. - Mike W. . . .we got to launch our rockets which was pretty cool. Also we rode the space shot. . . . Ww did missions B and C today and it went petty successful - Hannah F. . . . We went to our missions. I was flight director and CAPCOM. I thought it would be. Lot of hard work but the job was actually easy. Then later. . . W went to Mach II classroom to co Pete for King of the Hill . . . Get ready for the patrolling challenge. A first I didn't want to get dirty by t after I started camouflaging myself I didn't mind. I was all covered in dirt and stuff. We had to sneak around to "bomb" the train cars for the dirt part. We were successful. Then for the second part we has to crawl through the woods to the fire without being seen or heard by the "guards." I think I was we'll hidden because the people who were caught kept stepping on me. . . I had a lot of fun! - Samantha G. I love space camp. . . I will miss some friends, But I'm enjoy[ing each] day!! . . . We really want to go to swimming. . . OK have fun y'all!

Patrolling

Team Von Lions joined with Jolly Goddards for an escape and evasion mission. The teams successfully took down their individual and joint targets.

Rocket launch

Missions Alpha-Bravo-Charlie (Team Von Lions)

We simulated a space mission three times with students swapping roles each time.

Alpha Mission: Partial Success-- left the mission specialists out in space (oops!)

Bravo Mission: Success-- took off, fixed the satellite, and landed with some stressful moments interspersed but our goals achieved.

Charlie Mission: SUCCESS!!! nearly Flawless execution!
